At the start of Hollywood week, I picked who I wanted to win. I did the same thing last year with Jason Castro. Who, let's face it, did not and should not have won or lasted as long as he did, but I still love him anyway so it's all gravy. So this year I decided to pick someone who actually had a serious talent as a singer so I wouldn't feel embarrassed every time I said he was my favorite.
I picked Danny Gokey. ^^ He's so cute and dorky. It's just amazing. And his voice. Mmm. I haven't heard him suck yet, and that is more than I can say for more than half of the top 36.
I'm also a big fan of Nathaniel Marshall, Nick "Norman Gentle" Mitchell, and Scott MacIntyre. In that order.
I had this huge debate with myself last night as to why I like Nathaniel Marshall so much but hated, hated Danny Noriega to the point that I wanted to cause him physical harm every time he spoke. I told a lot of people it was because he was one of those "look at me I'm gay so you have to pay attention to me" people. I don't have a problem with gay people. I'm gay. My problem lies with people who think they should be treated better because they're gay. Like Noriegblah. But. Nathaniel Marshall is just as gay and twice as emotional so what gives? I've decided that I just... really hated him. As a person. Just... wanted him off the face of the planet. I don't do that with people I don't know who aren't Hyebin. Whom I also hate. Probably just as much, if not more.
Norman Gentle. I am so glad they told him to be Norman instead of Nick because this guy is funny. He's hilarious. And he has such a good voice. He's so refreshing in all of this seriousness.
And who doesn't like Scott MacIntyre? I'm glad he's on the show so make-up and hair people can do... something with that. Someone has to know how to fix that hair. I mean, look at what they did to David Cook. If someone can fix that, someone can fix this.
And I've decided that Tatiana will be this season's Noriegblah for me. And by that I mean, I will question why she's here every week and not shot out into space somewhere. Every time she opens her stupid mouth, I want to poke myself in the eye.
On the topic of girls, Stevie Wright is the only one left of my original favorites so I'm going that way.
And that's pretty much all I have to say about it. ^^
